DataChambers Acquired by North State Communications

DataChambers Acquired by North State Communications

January 1st, 2012 by admin

According a recent article posted on datacenterknowlege.com, colocation data center company, DataChambers, is allowing itself to be purchased by North State Communications, a prominent telecommunications business in North Carolina. North State says the acquisition of DataChambers, which operates a data center facility in Winston-Salem will increase its client package options and number of server racks and server cabinets. The agreement excludes the records management company, Data-Chambers Records Management. The arrangement is the most recent in a string of agreements in which telecom businesses have attained colocation or managed services providers, counting a deal last year where Hosted Solutions, a hosting organization in North Carolina was acquired by Windstream.

?The acquisition advances our strategy to diversify our business and revenue mix and will strengthen North State?s efforts in becoming the preferred provider of business communications and data solutions across the Triad and beyond,? said Hayden McKenzie, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of North State Communications. ?DataChambers operates approximately 120,000 square feet of data center and disaster recovery space, and offers electronic data storage and managed IT services that will benefit both existing and new customers.?

Nicholas Kottyan, DataChambers? CEO, expressed, ?We are very excited to join the North State family. We believe that this combination will offer our customers the opportunity to grow with us, while providing additional value to North State?s customers and shareholders.?

DataChambers focuses on managed services, data storage, and colocation. DataChambers was selected as one of the fastest growing companies this year in Inc. Magazine?s 500/5000 and was rated 18th in Business Leader magazine?s Top 300 Small Businesses of the South.
